A glimpse into the life of a loving throuple—and what happens when three becomes two.
Reel Stories is a free film series dedicated to showcasing international queer cinema. Our April Reel Q screening presents Petit Mal, a work of semi-autobiographical fiction from Colombia, written and directed by Ruth Caudeli.
Petit Mal follows Martina, Laia, and Anto, a loving throuple of women leading a joyful and balanced life together until an unexpected shift disrupts their relationship. When Laia is called away for a long-term project, Martina and Anto must temporarily reshape their own dynamic. As they contemplate the strength and flexibility of their love, we see the trio navigate an ever-evolving romance, making room for envy, loneliness, and affection to coexist.
About Reel Q:
Reel Q is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ film festivals in the world. Starting in 1985, Reel Q’s mission has been to increase the availability and accessibility of queer film in Pittsburgh and its surrounding region, highlighting the diverse experiences of our worldwide community.
