Cucina Alfabeto Presents: Stephan Crump’s Slow Water

April 23 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT

Grammy-nominated, Memphis-bred composer and bassist Stephan Crump presents an extraordinary ensemble and musical work inspired by the movement to redefine how we live with water in an era of rapid change.

Slow Water is a movement, an out-growth of the book Water Always Wins by renowned science journalist and National Geographic explorer Erica Gies. Slow Water is also a sextet of New York artists—vibraphonist Yuhan Su, violist Fung Chern Hwei, violinist Erica Dicker, trumpeter Kenny Warren, trombonist Jacob Garchik, and bassist Crump leading the ensemble from within.

This event is hosted by City of Asylum’s in-house restaurant Cucina Alfabeto. To attend,  please visit OpenTable or call 412-435-1111 to make a reservation.
