City of Asylum presents “I Am Ukraine,” a collaboration of Sharing Our Story, Jewish Family and Community Services, JCC Center for Lovingkindness and Engagement, City of Asylum, St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Church, and Ukrainian Culture and Heritage Institute.
In this sixth iteration of Sharing Our Story, all participants are Ukrainian refugees or Pittsburgh residents of Ukrainian descent. Immerse yourself in the rich culture and traditions of Ukraine, as we celebrate its vibrant heritage. Filled with mesmerizing videos created by Ukrainian refugees and Pittsburghers of Ukrainian descent, a music performance, a captivating dance showcase by Kyiv Dance Ensemble, and the opportunity to Engage in interactive discussions and learn about the country’s fascinating history and customs, this program promises a unique and unforgettable experience. I Am Ukraine is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow enthusiasts and celebrate the spirit of Ukraine.
About Sharing Our Story:
Sharing Our Story is a series of workshops on digital storytelling. Participants, usually from communities that would otherwise not have easy access to these tools, learn storytelling skills and also digital tools like video editing and recording.
