What duo could be more dynamic than one saxophone and a second saxophone? Following the lead of the partnership between saxophonists Eddie “Lockjaw” Davis and Johnny Griffin (which brought us tunes like “Blues Up & Down” and “Hey Lock”), Pittsburgh saxophonists Lynn Speakman and Evan David team up to present a concert full of tunes featuring alto and tenor saxophones, accompanied by their fellow quintet members who bring a full, balanced sound to this lively performance.
Featured Musicians:
Lynn Speakman: alto saxophone
Evan David: alto & tenor saxophones
Joe Sheehan: piano
Jeff Grubbs: bass
Thomas Wendt: drums
