With the health, well-being, and comfort of all as our top priorities, City of Asylum requires that our staff, artists, and all those attending an event be fully vaccinated. Please click here to learn more about our Covid 19 policies.
Join the staff writers from Sampsonia Way Magazine for a launch party celebrating the magazine’s new website and its newest series: “The Everyday Pandemic.”
Sampsonia Way Magazine is a project of City of Asylum and is devoted to literary freedom of expression and giving voice to persecuted writers. Since 2019, City of Asylum has partnered with the University of Pittsburgh to make Sampsonia Way a magazine reported, written, edited, and designed by students in the Public and Professional Writing Program.
This program features City of Asylum’s current and past writers-in-residence and university students, all seeking to create an alternative conversation to the dominant COVID-19 discourse: one that captures the daily toll of life through the pandemic from the perspective of writers and artists who are familiar with the experience of isolation and exile.
